How You’ll Be Notified of Your Court Date in Ramsey County
If you've been charged with a crime in Ramsey County and your case requires a court appearance, you’ll get a notice in the mail with the date, time, and location of your hearing. That notice will be sent to the address listed on your ticket, summons, or complaint—usually the one you gave the officer when you were detained.
“Remember, it may go to the address on your driver’s license and if that isn’t correct, you could miss it.”
Now, here’s something important to keep in mind: it can take a little while for the paperwork to move through the system, especially if you were released while law enforcement continues to investigate. So if it’s been more than two weeks since your arrest and you still haven’t received anything in the mail, don’t wait around—call (651) 266-1999 to check on your case and find out when you’re expected in court.
Whether your court date ends up being at the Maplewood Courthouse, downtown St. Paul, or the Law Enforcement Center (LEC), you don’t want to face it alone.
